Meet Dr. Elliott Lavey, MD Education/Certification
- 1973 – B.A. University of Chicago: Phi Beta Kappa, Illinois State Scholarship 1969-73, one of five Student Aides to the university’s president
- 1977 – M.D. Stanford University: American Society of Anesthesiologists Fellowship (Northwestern University, 1975)
- 1983 – completed combined general surgery/plastic surgery residency Stanford University, including one year of international plastic surgery training (Hadassah Hospitals in Israel).
- 1985 – Lifetime certification, American Board of Plastic Surgery
Publications/Lectures
I have published in the major American peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals. Please contact my office for a list of research articles. I have provided instruction to other plastic surgeons on use of a new filling material, and on how to minimize postoperative nausea and vomiting. Recently, I have presented papers on forehead lifting and back contouring at the Plastic Surgery at the Red Sea International Symposium in Israel, and to the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. I have lectured several times to the John Muir Bariatric Surgery and to the ValleyCare Bariatric Surgery groups.

Jan 14, 2025Dr. Lavey performed two surgical procedures on me to correct the results of a childhood accident that disfigured my upper lip. He is a highly-skilled plastic surgeon with exceptional compassion and care for his patients. Dr. Lavey took the time to explain the procedures step by step, address every question and, most importantly, calm my fears. The entire process from appointment setting to the final check-up was an outstanding experience. With Dr. Lacey’s help, I can now smile with confidence and joy! Jul 15, 2024Dr Levy did a terrible rhinoplasty for me. My nose looks like I’ve been in a bar fight.
Looking for a revision now.
Avoid him at all cost.
He does have a very nice personality, but he is most definitely not skilled at what he’s doing…

I am a nurse and my husband is a doctor I can say without reservation he is a skilled surgeon and an artist I had a face life 9 years ago by him and it was an amazing. He made me look refresh and made my true beauty shine through. I am so grateful to this fantastic Doctor.

Kathy also is a superstar and addressed any of my needs immediately. My OBGYN also commented on the excellent work he did and is now recommending Dr Lavey to her patient's who are in need of an outstanding plastic surgeon. I recommend him highly and remain so grateful of his surgical skills coupled with his persona. I have recommended several friends and colleagues to him; all who have been thrilled with their results.
