Dr. Okland completed undergraduate at Colorado State, followed by Medical School at the University of Colorado. At UC, Dr. Okland was elected by his peers to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, and received multiple awards for his research accomplishments, including the Achievement Reward for College Scientists and NIH funding for his translational research on medical devices in Otolaryngology.

Following medical school, Dr. Okland matched into the top Otolaryngology residency in the country – Stanford. There he published dozens of articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, which have furthered the field of facial plastic surgery. During Dr. Okland’s final year of training at Stanford, he was awarded “Resident of the Year,” honors for his leadership and clinical excellence.

After residency, Dr. Okland was one of only 50 surgeons in all of North America who matched into the highly competitive Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (FPRS) fellowship. He completed this year of study at historic Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville, Tennessee under the direction of world-renowned surgeons. At Vanderbilt Dr. Okland received elite training to become an expert in rhinoplasty, deep-plane facelift, and Moh’s reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Okland is committed to bringing his expertise to his patients in Denver as well as abroad. He has traveled internationally to perform reconstructive pediatric surgery of the face, with mission trips to Ecuador, Argentina, and Guatemala.

Today, Dr. Okland is one of the few surgeons in the world who specialize in both Rhinoplasty and Deep Plane Facelift. Perhaps most importantly, Dr. Okland spends 100% of his time on the face and neck. This specialization and precision allow him to achieve the highest degree of surgical outcomes for his patients.
