Dr Joan Grace Valina is a highly skilled and sought out general and cosmetic surgeon. She is triple board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, in Cosmetic Surgery** by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and in Facial Cosmetic Surgery** by the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.

She completed her General Surgery residency at Michigan State University (PGY-1 to PGY-2) and Loyola University Medical Center (PGY-3 to PGY-5). She worked for underserved communities for years doing general surgery and trauma surgery. She volunteered in developing countries performing numerous general surgeries. She completed a Minimally Invasive Foregut Surgery fellowship at Allegheny Health Network and a Cosmetic Surgery fellowship through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. She underwent additional training with multiple well-known cosmetic, oculoplastic, and plastic surgeons from Seattle, Tampa, Miami, and Sarasota, including Philippines and Russia.

She has won many awards for her artistic talents in drawing, painting, and mixed media. She has a keen eye for aesthetics.
