Dr. Brian Buinewicz is an active member of the medical community. He is currently the Emeritus Chief of Plastic Surgery, Abington Hospital, Abington, PA after 30 years of service to the hospital and community. He is a Clinical Instructor at Temple University in the Division of Plastic Surgery for the School of Medicine and Surgery. He was the cofounder and past Director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Abington Memorial Hospital and also Associate Medical Director for Praxis Clinical Services.

Dr. Buinewicz is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is currently Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  He holds past certifications by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. He belongs to numerous professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Ivy Society and the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Buinewicz has presented at multiple society meetings.

Dr. Buinewicz is dedicated to continuing medical education and routinely attends local, regional, and national meetings and giving presentations. He has multiple peer reviewed publications. His professional pride derives from providing personal attention to each of his patient’s needs and desires.
