Dr. Philbin received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.
Achieving certification from two respected organizations, The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Philbin has been recognized with multiple awards for exceptional patient care. He has been designated a “Top Doctor” by Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine multiple times.
Dedicated to providing the most advanced and effective medical techniques and treatments, Dr. Philbin is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Hennepin County Medical Society and Minnesota Medical Association.
Dr. Philbin was raised in a “foodie” family and enjoys cooking and exploring the many small ethnic restaurants in the Twin Cities area. He and his family also love to spend time traveling and trying to live like the locals.
