Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Kamal Sawan has been practicing plastic surgery for close to 20 years. Educated first in Ireland, then at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Sawan has studied under some extraordinary leaders in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Before launching Sawan Surgical Aesthetics, Dr. Sawan was the chief of plastic surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine from 2005 – 2015. Currently, he is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the signature society for board-certified plastic surgeons; the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, exclusively for board-certified plastic surgeons with advanced techniques and experience in aesthetic surgery; and the American Association for Plastic Surgeon, the exclusive society for plastic surgeons who have made a significant contribution to the field. Sawan Surgical Aesthetics is committed to honesty, compassion, personal attention, and respect.

Dr. Sawan served as the medical director of OU Medical Surgery Center where he consistently scores over 90% satisfaction rates among surgical patients. His extensive experience in facial surgery and body contouring has garnered him invitations to international conferences in Taiwan, Bahrain, Qatar, and Dubai. Focused on the importance of plastic surgeons remaining up to date with recent advancements in the industry, Dr. Sawan participates in at least three national meetings and symposiums each year. Additionally, he served as the program director for the plastic surgery residency program at the local university where he has trained generations of plastic surgeons.
