Profile

Dr. Ortiz has obtained leadership, mentoring and research positions that only top surgeons in the field are recognized with. He served as Chief of Surgery and Plastic Surgery of Womack Army Medical Center, ensuring smooth operations of surgical services in one of military medicine’s leading facilities. He was deployed to Afghanistan and served as the Chief of Surgery for the 14th Combat Support Hospital. Dr. Ortiz has also been given professorships in the Uniform Services University of Health Sciences and Methodist University Physician Assistant Program to help educate and train future public and military health care professionals. Dr. Ortiz has published numerous scientific articles and is part of scientific studies that help maintain cutting edge expertise in plastic surgery. Upon honorable discharge from the United States Army, Dr. Ortiz founded North Raleigh Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Ortiz was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. His mother, a registered nurse, inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. He graduated magna cum laude and a ROTC distinguished military graduate from the University of Puerto Rico. He then attended Ponce School of Medicine and graduated a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for high educational achievement.

After much careful consideration I finally decided to move forward with a breast augmentation and mastopexy (breast lift) procedure. Not only do I get to work side by side with Dr. Kimberly Jones, but I was also able to experience her caring bedside manner, fine attention to detail, and dedication to perfection as a patient. From watching her daily interactions with her patients to seeing their amazing results I knew I was in good hands. I am grateful and loving my results! I am 5 months post op and I am in love with my results! From the first consultation to the last follow-up, Dr. Jones and Ruby have been AMAZING! These ladies radiate loving what they do and building an awesome rapport with their patients, so you walk into a comfortable environment. I got a breast augmentation, and I am loving my results along with the much-needed boost in confidence. Dr. Jones took the time to answer all of my questions and put me at ease from the start. I did not feel rushed through any appointment and I certainly did not feel like just another patient walking through the door. Dr. Jones is a master at the art of plastic surgery!! It is nice to know that you can have a surgeon that is not only skilled at their craft, but also has the personal experience so she understands and can explain well what you will be going through. I love these ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to coming back to NRPS when it is time to get my implants redone.

Dr. Kimberly Jones , Ruby Perez, Addie and Heather are nothing short of amazing. I felt comfortable about my cosmetic procedure from the first time l walked into the office. Dr. Jones and Ruby discussed the procedure and expectations through out the entire process. After my consultation, it was a no brainer that Dr. Jones is the surgeon I trust to perform my procedure. Dr. Jones provided me with her personal cell number in the event that I needed her after hours. My results superceded my expectations. I feel a great sense of confidence when I am getting dressed for the office or just lounging. My Tummy Tuck was the best investment that I have ever made for ME and my body. Stay tuned for photos!
