Dr. Morrison’s extensive surgical training began with his general surgery residency where he also obtained a Master’s Degree in basic surgical science. He then completed his plastic surgery residency and finally obtained extra [fellowship] training in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery.

After growing up in Central Indiana in Frankfort, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington (1982-87). He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. He then obtained his medical degree, MD, at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis (1987-1991).

Following medical school, he completed his residency in general surgery (1991-1997) at Michigan State University in East Lansing successfully achieving board certification by the American Board of Surgery. During his general surgery residency, he simultaneously completed his Master’s Degree in Basic Surgical Science.

His plastic and reconstructive surgery residency training (1997-1997) was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, which has a level one trauma center and an ABA accredited burn unit. He has been board certified in Plastic Surgery since finishing his training in 2000. He actively maintains his American Board of Plastic Surgery certification.

Finally, he also received extra-specialized training in plastic surgery completing a fellowship (1999-2000) in breast reconstruction and aesthetic plastic surgery at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He pro-actively stays abreast of new and emerging technology and participates in extensive current medical education.
