Joshua Cox

Dr. Joshua Cox was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He graduated salutatorian from Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas after his family relocated there prior to his Sophomore year. He went on to attend Baylor University where he was a part of the Honors Program which allowed him to obtain degrees in Psychology, Business and Chemistry. After graduation he remained at Baylor where he pursued his Master’s degree in Biochemistry while working as a TA in the Chemistry department.

Dr. Cox was then fortunate to be accepted into The Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he completed his medical doctorate. It was during this time that he went on mission trips to Peru and the Dominican Republic and truly discovered his passion for helping others through surgery. After obtaining his medical degree, he matched into the six year integrated plastic surgery residency program at Baylor College of Medicine where he trained under leading experts and pioneers in the world of plastic surgery at Ben Taub, Texas Children’s, the Michael E. DeBakey VAMC, St. Luke’s/Texas Heart Institute, Methodist and the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center.
