Dr. Mark Been specializes in comprehensive facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is dual board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery.
He received his bachelor’s degree and medical school education at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and then completed a rigorous residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He went on to sub-specialize in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, completing his fellowship in Cincinnati, OH.
Dr. Been has written extensively on topics including rhinoplasty, rhytidectomy, chemical peels and cosmetic lasers. He has also been active in international health care, participating in mission work in Belize for treatment of skin cancer, cleft lip and cleft palate deformities.
