I had a rather large dorsal hump on my nose that had bothered me for over 10 years and having a career in the entertainment news industry, it was very important that the change had to be subtle and natural to the point where no one would be able to tell that I had gotten a “nose job”. From the very first moment I walked into Dr. Rein’s office, I felt extremely comfortable and at ease. The office environment was calm and sounded with broadway show tunes. Kim, the surgical coordinator, greeted me and was extremely professional and very knowledgeable of pre and post op care. When I first met Dr. Rein, I was nervous because as a 26 year old who frequently watched Botched and this being my first surgery ever, I knew that there were patients out there whose appearance was somewhat irreparable from inexperienced or careless surgeons and I didn’t want to be one of those cases. BUT from the very first moment that I shook hands with Dr. Joel Rein, those thoughts were completely erased. His warm smile, incredibly steady hand, and insight on the procedure that he wanted to perform on me, preceded all of my expectations. He showed me before and after rhinoplasty patient pictures and didn’t rush my thoughts or expect me to even choose him at that point. He was most concerned with what outcome I wanted and how to make it look exactly like ME still. People told me to be cautious of surgeons who were like a factory, aka creating the same nose every day (you know the ones that you can point at and say that was a nose job). Looking at his past rhinoplasty patient pictures, I could tell that he took his time in the operating room, to make sure each angle of the nose was just right and unique. No pinched nostrils, no piggy noses, no ski slopes, and no factory. On surgery day, he kept his professional and caring temperament, explaining post op instructions to my parents and visiting with me after I woke up from the anesthesia. He reviewed the surgery with me and assured me everything went well. It is now a few months later and I waited to write this review because I really wanted to be on the mend to see the true finished product and I could not be happier with my results from Dr. Rein. He is a true artist and an incredible human being and has been practicing for over 50 years! You would be crazy to not choose him as your plastic surgeon. He has every quality you are looking for in a doctor. Do your research, choose Dr. Rein, follow post op carefully, and trust me, you will be living your best life.
