Daniel Q. Richardson M.D. is a Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a key credential indicating his level of training and commitment to ongoing education in his field.  He has made the Mississippi Gulf Coast his home and has opened his doors to provide you with excellent care in plastic and reconstructive surgery since 1991.  Dr. Richardson is a native to the Magnolia state, born in Jackson and raised in the Delta town of Drew and is a second generation physician in Mississippi.  In fact, Dr. Richardson’s early exposure to the medical profession influenced him as a young man to pursue a medical career himself.  In pursuit then of his dreams, he attended Delta State University and was the 1981 Suma Cum Laude graduate with a degree in Biology. He received his medical training thereafter at the University of Mississippi graduating in 1985. Upon his graduation he trained in the field of surgery at the University of Mississippi and it was during his surgery training that Dr. Richardson became acquainted with the specialty of Plastic Surgery and the betterment of people’s lives through reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. From that point going forward, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery became the passion of his professional life.

Dr. Richardson entered specialty training in 1989 under the tutelage of Dr. John Franklin, then chairman of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Richardson was the Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery from 1990-1991. While in Tennessee he developed a special interest in Reconstructive Breast Surgery and the artistry of Cosmetic surgery. He honed his skills while there and the lessons learned provided the skills necessary to launch a private practice in Gulfport, Mississippi in 1991.  Dr. Richardson completed his certification in Plastic surgery by passing both oral and written boards in 1994.

Dr. Richardson has served in years past as Chief of Surgery at both Biloxi Regional Medical Center and Gulfport Memorial Hospitals and maintains active privileges to practice in all the greater Gulfport and Biloxi area hospitals. He maintains Associations with the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgery.
