Advanced Plastic Surgery is led by Salvatore A. Farruggio, MD, FACS, extensively trained in all aspects of plastic surgery, specializing in body contouring and facial plastic surgery. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Farruggio performs most surgical procedures, utilizing the latest techniques, in the-state-of-the-art, fully accredited operating suite in the practice’s brand new Scarsdale location.

Dr. Farruggio received a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University then attended medical school at New York Medical College, graduating in 1988. He subsequently trained five years in general surgery at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. He then went on to complete a rigorous training program in plastic surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His plastic surgery fellowship included cosmetic surgery training at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Farruggio is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. For a physician, Board Certification signifies the highest level of accreditation within a given specialty. Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is a qualification not easily obtained. It demonstrates a high level of training and education, necessary for achieving optimal results and patient satisfaction.
