Profile

Dr. Daniel Casso was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, where he attended public schools. For his undergraduate preparation, he attended Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, studying economics and pre-med. After graduation from Harvard, he received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He served his internship and residency in general surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. While at St. Joseph, he also completed his residency in plastic surgery.

Dr. Casso was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1994, and was elected as a Fellow to the American College of Surgeons in 1996. He was awarded a certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in November 1999. In addition, he has been a member of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgery since 1997 and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons since 1994, as well as a Member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Casso has been active in physician governance at Houston Methodist St.John Hospital, having served two terms as Medical Staff President, as well as Chief of the Surgery Department and General Surgery Section.

From beginning to end, the care in this office is stellar. I took my 92 year old mother in for a small repair. The waiting are is peaceful, beautiful, and impeccably clean. The compassion, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff is top shelf. Nurse Tracy is a true gem. She treats everyone with warmth and kindness. She truly has a heart as big as Texas. Dr. Casso’s “needlework” is difficult to exaggerate. The wound produced barely any swelling and just a week later the area looks amazing. Highly recommended.

Dr. Casso was referred to me by my dermologlist after melonoma was found on my face. I was scared to death I would look like I had been in a knife fight and lost! The incision was very long and they assured me it would be hardly noticable in three months. I didnt believe it. But it was true! And even now, five years later, people can only see the tiniest line of a scar after I show them where it is (if the light is good enough!) Thank you Dr. Casso and staff for the great work!!!

Dr. Casso and his staff are amazing! I have had 3 different surgeries with Dr. Casso. All surgeries were been perfect. My incisions heal so nicely that you can’t even tell it was there. I recommend him everyone including family and friends.

Dr. Casso is AMAZING! I interviewed 10 different surgeons over the course of 2 years before I decided on Dr. Casso for my Breast Reduction. Dr. Casso had the best portfolio of his breast reduction work than any surgeon I had met with. Some of these surgeons had 1-2 people as an example in a gallery. Dr. Casso made me feel incredibly comfortable from the start. He participates in continuing education and stays up to date in changes in his field. His prior experience, commitment to continuing education, along with the warmth and friendless of his staff, were the deciding factors for me. I highly recommend Dr. Casso. My RN sister was so impressed with his process and bed side manner, that she's planning on a mommy makeover with him!

I had a breast augmentation about 4 months ago and I would hands down recommend Dr.Casso. He is so incredibly professional, patient, and informs you of every step of the way. I have never had ANY type of surgery done so as you can imagine I was considerably nervous and hesitant if I was going to return to my normal daily activities without pain. Sure enough, he gives you everything you need for a successful and quick recovery. He made me look extremely natural and here I am now working out and living my normal life feeling fantastic! 100% recommend ladies!!!
