James PatrinelyDr

Dr. James Patrinely is one of this country’s foremost ophthalmic facialplastic surgeons. A recipient of the Dean’s award and graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, he has had extensive residency and fellowship training at Johns Hopkins, the University of Utah, and Baylor College of Medicine. He is board-certified in ophthalmology and is credentialed by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow in the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

From 1986 to 1997, Dr. Patrinely was an associate professor of both ophthalmology and plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He continues to be involved in the development of new techniques and in the training of doctors in these specialties. He is frequently called upon to doreconstructive surgeryaround the eyes of accident victims. Other physicians, including cosmetic surgeons, routinely consult Dr. Patrinely on behalf of their patients or refer their more difficult cases to him. He is also the doctor to whom they send their family members.

A prolific writer, lecturer, and leader in the field of ophthalmic plastic surgery, he has authored over 175 works in his field and given over 225 lectures in the U.S. and abroad. He has been selected by his peers for listing in The Best Doctors in America and been quoted in national publications, including Consumer Digest. He was named Best for Eyes in Houston in “Best Plastic Surgeons in the US by Major City.”
