Dr. Shannon Kuruvilla, MD, is an aesthetic surgery fellowship trained plastic surgeon. She specializes in aesthetic surgery of the breast, body, and face and the surgical treatment for migraine headaches.

Dr. Kuruvilla is a proud Houston native and the eldest of six siblings, has always had a profound curiosity about what makes each person unique—their personality, ambitions, goals, and psychology. This understanding allows her to truly connect with patients on a comprehensive level, seeing them as individuals with distinct life stories and aspirations.

Dr. Kuruvilla graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame. She completed medical school at The University of Texas McGovern Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society.

She completed her plastic surgery training at the prestigious University of Virginia Department of Plastic Surgery where she was selected to serve as the administrative Chief Resident. To hone her skills in aesthetic plastic surgery, she subsequently completed additional training with an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Basu Aesthetics + Plastic Surgery, one of the top ranked aesthetic plastic surgery practices in the nation.
