Dr. Ellsworth’s passion for helping breast cancer patients led him to specialize in breast reconstruction, microsurgery and cosmetic surgery. He has a compassionate, endearing personality that instantly puts one at ease. Dr. Ellsworth takes time to get to know his patients to truly understand their desires and help them achieve their cosmetic goals. His artistic eye allows him to help customize and develop your treatment plan.

His beautiful results speak for themselves, and his patients talk even louder. Dr. Ellsworth is a dedicated, caring surgeon who gives back to his patients and community through educational events such as Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day (BRA Day), SCARt (Scar Art), and his work with the Houston Grand Opera.

Dr. Ellsworth graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia and the University of Oxford, where he studied music and literature. He completed medical school and plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Ellsworth serves as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, Adjunct Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, and Texas A&M University College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He enjoys teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, our future surgeons, in plastic surgery.

He is an invited lecturer at the local, national and international levels and has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Ellsworth holds several national positions on the board for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and has been selected as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Ellsworth is married to Dr. Rachel Ellsworth, a colon and rectal surgeon, and together they have three wonderful children: Isabel, Warren V, and Eloise.
