Phillip Garcia, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Jacksonville native who graduated cum laude from Jacksonville University. While attending the University of Miami School of Medicine, he began a specialized study of the head and neck. During his fellowship in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and his internship in General Surgery at the same institution, he trained under leading facial plastic surgeons. Following a residency in Otolaryngology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Garcia completed a specialized fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the world-renowned McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic in Alabama.

Dr. Garcia’s focused expertise in rhinoplasty (nasal surgery) and surgery of the aging face benefit other associates in the field and numerous patients. As an educator, he has published numerous papers and has presented several research topics at international events. As a doctor, he is a frontrunner in the advancement of facial plastic surgery in Jacksonville.

Dr. Garcia and staff were welcoming and well prepared for my first visit. Dr. Garcia spent the better part of an hour discussing my options. There was no "push" to get a procedure done. Dr. Garcia provided literature, testimonials, what the commitment would look like, and then said, "Go home and think about it." I appreciate Dr. Garcia's approachable demeanor and look forward to the next steps.

I recently visited Dr. Garcia's office for a consultation for rhinoplasty. A lifetime of insecurity and shame in my appearance made this a very daunting, scary appointment to go to. Uncomfortable conversations make me...well, very uncomfortable. I avoid them whenever I can. All that backstory aside, Patient Care Coordinator Alie Finelli, Dr. Garcia, and the rest of his staff were incredibly gracious hosts. They were very kind through my tears and guided me through possibilities and expectations in a way that made me very confident I'd have been in good hands. While I'm likely to be a little too priced out to go through with the process (I believe the rates are quite fair; I simply worked for too long in one of those industries that doesn't lend itself to luxurious expenditures very often) I am very, very glad I went through with it. It is helpful to have an incentive. It was great to know that, if it does work out for me, I can count on a kind and competent team. And I left with a great photo of myself for vison boarding.

After much searching, I'm so grateful I chose Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery. Everyone there is exceptionally caring and skilled.
