Dr. Burgess , is not only the best surgeon, but the kindest, and most compassionate doctor, I have ever been privileged enough, to be a patient of. From opening up her clinic on Thanksgiving for me, to my weekly appointments, she always made me feel heard, and taken care of. There aren’t enough kind words to say about her, and the entire staff at Burgess Plastic Surgery. Each one of the nurses, front desk, and office staff, are incredible! I am so grateful for the surgical skills of Dr. Burgess and for the compassion, patience and support she and the entire staff of Burgess Plastic Surgery provided as I went through a bilateral breast implant removal and mastoplexy (breast lift). The decision to have my breast implants removed and not replaced was a difficult decision for me that required a lot of information gathering and patience to reach. I had breast augmentation surgery in 1978, so after more than 40 years, the implants were an important part of my self-image. By removing them, I was told I would be essentially flat chested; 32 C/D cup bra to a silky camisole. It was hard to imagine and accept. Dr. Burgess and the nurses were straight-forward and thorough in telling me what I could expect, the truth, the whole truth with compassionate understanding. They demonstrated on me what a mastoplexy would do for me to make me look more natural after removing the implants. I especially appreciate that now as I adjust to the new me. The long list about potential problems of the surgery to read and sign acceptance was frightening, but I got every question or concern about them addressed. Dr. Burgess herself and her staff were available to me as I worked through the decision I was about to make. By the time of surgery I was confident about the surgery and about my decision. Over the 40 years, I have had implant replacements done by other plastic surgeons with varying degrees of satisfaction. But this time, I had all the information I needed to go through the procedure and know that I made the right decision in selecting a plastic surgeon.

Dr. Burgess is a true artist! I am so glad I chose her as my surgeon. She is one of the best! I am extremely happy with the results and can’t say enough the artistry and skill involved in the level of symmetry she is able to achieve. It’s truly masterful. In addition, I am beyond impressed by the professionalism and kindness of her staff and the exceptional follow-up care I received. I am very grateful for such great care and highly recommend them for all their services!

Thirty years after reconstruction from a mastectomy, I selected Dr. Burgess to perform explantation, because I’d had my "ear to the ground" for a while and she was highly regarded by patients and other health care providers. I can verify that’s well earned. The office is super efficient; my wait times were the shortest I’ve ever experienced. One time I arrived a couple hours early (I’m a two hour drive away) planning to read while I waited; I was on my way home before my scheduled appointment! As a former nurse myself, I detected that the hospital staff performed at a highly conscientious level when they saw the name “Dr. Burgess" on my chart. Love that! My recovery back to feeling normal was so fast; this is my third breast surgery so I have a basis for comparison. I’m almost 72 years old, and didn’t think it mattered to have a fully female staff; but I have to admit, it felt comforting. An office full of nurturing daughters for me, is how I still feel.

Every aspect of my surgery, from Dr. Burgess's skilled hands and the top-notch staff at Burgess Plastic Surgery to the hospital team at Legacy Meridian Park Medial Center, was superlative. A seamless and consistent experience. Professional yet warm and friendly. Informative and available. I highly recommend BPS to anyone who would like to improve their appearance and feel better. And, as I learned, 70 is not too old for a new look and a happier me!
