Although many doctors in Columbus, Ohio, offer cosmetic surgery procedures, most do not have Dr. Lichten’s extensive training and background.

After graduating from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Lichten completed a residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and a residency in plastic surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. Dr. Lichten founded Central Ohio Plastic Surgery in 2005.

Dr. Lichten is an American Board of Plastic Surgery board-certified plastic surgeon who is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he is the former President of the Columbus Society of Plastic Surgeons.

On top of his certifications, professional memberships, and achievements in the medical field, Dr. Lichten is a marathon runner and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Psoriasis Foundation. He also plays the piano and loves boating and travelling with his family.

Their certification shows that they have completed at least five years of surgical training and at least a single residency program after finishing medical school. It also shows that they have passed comprehensive oral and written exams.
