Dr. Henry Wells is a leading Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Lexington, Ky. Excellent results and happy patients have motivated Dr. Wells for over 25 years! He has expertise in all areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery and now focuses exclusively on cosmetic procedures. Dr. Wells is especially well known for facial surgery and the Mommy Makeover. This procedure combines breast and abdominal surgery that brings back a mothers more youthful contours. His patients see beautiful results and continue to refer others to him. Dr. Henry Wells graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill and his medical degree is from the University of Kentucky. He completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Missouri-Columbia and was an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery. After returning to Kentucky to be near his family in 1988, he opened his private practice.
Holding leadership positions in groups like the Fayette County Medical Society has been important to Dr. Wells. He is part of the University of Kentucky Medical School Alumni Association and maintains an interest in Graduate Medical Education. He has been on the board of the Susan Komen Foundation of Lexington, The Rolex Three Day Event, as well as Past President of the Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons.
An accomplished artist, Dr. Wells formally studied art in graduate school and considered becoming a medical illustrator. His studies took a different direction and he entered medical school. Now he translates his artistic talents into sculpting and enhancing the human body, allowing his patients to achieve their aesthetic objectives. Dr. Wells prides himself that his patients look natural and like themselves after surgery, but now look younger and more refreshed.
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Wells is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the prestigious American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
