Dr. Zachary “Zach” Young, a Double Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, is honored to bring his surgical expertise to Arkansas Plastic Surgery. Dr. Young was raised in Jonesboro, AR and has had a passion for medicine from the time he was a child. He was introduced to the health care field at an early age because his father was a physician. He spent his high school and undergraduate years working in all aspects of patient care, which has afforded him a unique insight into both patient care and health care delivery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

After graduating from Jonesboro High School with Honors, Dr. Young received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas. He then matriculated to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for Medical school. He completed a distinguished, 7-year General Surgery Residency training program at UAMS, where he received numerous professional and patient-centered awards. He was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his professional and academic accomplishments, an honor in which he takes great pride. Dr. Young is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has completed an intensive and comprehensive 3-year Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He has extensive training in breast reconstruction, specifically in the art of pre-pectoral breast reconstruction. Dr. Young has also honed his skills in aesthetic surgery of the face, nose, breasts, and body contouring throughout his training.
