Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Sean Satey has always been immersed in a world where art, architecture, and design shape daily life. He began his academic journey at UCLA before earning his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, a program known for its highly selective research track and leadership development. He served as the President of the Surgery Interest Group, and published numerous research studies.

Elite Surgical Training and Foundation

Dr. Satey completed a rigorous five-year general surgery residency at UC Riverside, training in trauma, critical care, and minimally invasive surgery. This intense environment built the foundation for his calm operative presence and meticulous attention to anatomical detail; qualities that later defined his aesthetic work. His residency years also included contributions to book chapters in vascular and robotic surgery, solidifying his academic and technical credibility.

Fellowship Under One of the Nation’s Most Respected Cosmetic Surgeons

To refine his aesthetic craft, Dr. Satey pursued advanced fellowship training in San Diego under the past-president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. This fellowship is reserved for top-performing surgeons nationwide and exposed him to the most advanced methods in high-definition body contouring, facial aesthetic surgery, and energy-based rejuvenation. It remains one of the defining phases of his surgical evolution.

Leadership Within the Cosmetic Surgery Community

Recognized early for his vision and influence, Dr. Satey joined the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Board of Trustees in 2021. He was recently nominated and elected to serve as the Academy’s 2026 President, marking him as the youngest surgeon to ascend to this level of statewide leadership. He created the Academy’s first Injectables Course, now one of the most successful educational programs in the organization’s history, shaping how future providers learn modern aesthetic techniques.
