For years I have been uncomfortable in my own skin. After 2 c-sections I was left with a lot of extra skin around my mid-section which made me feel very insecure. I had always told my husband that when we were done having children my goal was to have a tummy tuck. Once that time came I did some research and had a good friend recommend Dr Basner to me. I am currently 3 months post op and could not be happier with the result. For years I dealt with a rather minor deformity. hardly noticeable to anyone else, but to myself, the source of so much insecurity. When I sat down with Dr. Basner, he didn't try to sell me a procedure, he asked me what my goal was. He took the time to explain what would work best for me and made sure I walked out of his office with a clear idea and no questions. On the day of surgery he did the same. Not only is he incredibly talented, but so is is staff. My entire experience from start to finish was nothing but pleasant, painless, and life-changing. I'm now one week post-op and watching the results come together have been incredible for me. I still have a lot of healing to do but just knowing I've finally had everything taken care of has made this recovery more like a vacation than a recovery period. I recommend anyone consult with this surgeon and see for yourself what the decision to have him work on you can do for your self-esteem. My procedure was one that I had been looking into for several years. When I came across The Plastic Surgery Center of Maryland, I felt comfortable moving forward in scheduling a consultation with Dr. Basner. The consultation was extremely helpful and informative in regards to answering any questions that I had as well as any that I would not have thought to ask. I didn't feel like I was rushed during the process and both nurse and Dr. gave me their full attention. The process of scheduling the actual surgery was seamless. I was provided with a ton of paperwork and disclaimers, which could have been extremely overwhelming, but Dr. Basner's team basically held my hand throughout the entire process. On the day of my procedure, the team made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The procedure itself took right around an hour and as I was waking up afterwards, my nurse was right there with me, making sure that I felt ok and that everything was as it should be. Something that really stood about this entire experience was the timing of my surgery. My procedure was scheduled the day before Thanksgiving, so I was pleasantly surprised when I received a follow-up call from Dr. Basner on Thanksgiving Day to check-in with me. Since my procedure, my post-op check-in, 1 and 3-month appointments have all been handled at the same level of professionalism as day 1, when I went in for my first consult. I'm now 3 months post-op and have "graduated", as Dr. Basner called it. I no longer need to schedule any check-ins/follow-ups, but Dr. Basner made me very comfortable knowing that if I have any questions, concerns or feel it necessary to come in for a quick appointment, not to hesitate and someone will be ready to see me. I plan to return to The Plastic Surgery Center of MD for future treatments.

Dr. Basner should have his license revoked in cosmetic surgery. He messed my nose up bad. He will pay a company to take down poor reviews as well. Check regularly and keep reposting! I had to have a revision rhinoplasty done and suffered greatly emotionally due to his poor surgery. He cut my alar cartilage in half and did not even fix my deviated septum he charged my insurance for. He’s a crook. Do not let him talk you into a rhinoplasty! You will be sorry.
