Originally from Thomasville, Georgia, Dr. Joshua R. Groves attended Berry College in Rome, GA for his undergraduate training. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1996. He then attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA and graduated with an M.D. in 2001. After medical school, his internship and general surgery residency were completed in 2006 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Groves continued his training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis with a burn fellowship from 2006 to 2007. He completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2009 at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Groves brings not only his expertise in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, but also provides personal care and compassion to each one of his patients.

I don’t normally give reviews but feel this is important enough to do so. I spent a great deal of money and did not receive the results Dr Groves or I expected. He recognized the obvious problems while even pointing out more but wanted another 5k to FIX the issues that were in my opinion mistakes in the first surgery. I made a point to ask him early on if he was in it until these issues were fixed and of course, he said yes. I guess I didn’t realize it was a way to make more money from me. The issues I have are more than obvious because it’s only on one side so I’ll be going elsewhere to have it fixed. I wish I had done more research before making my decision on where to have this done after saving my money to do so. Office staff was always friendly and courteous. Oddly enough the nurses I came across agreed totally with my issues. Before and after pics show very little difference. I’m sad to say it was a waste of money.

My experience has been nothing short of amazing. The staff and Doctor Groves are very professional and welcoming. I had my breast reduction surgery not long ago and I am more than pleased with my results. It’s been a whole year now and I wanted to give a update, everything is amazing my healing was easy and my result are just what I expected, Dr. Groves is the best! Thanks again!

The office and surgery center are very clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. The staff in the surgery center are compassionate, and sincere. They took amazing care of me and made me comfortable both physically and mentally prior to and after my procedure. Dr. Groves is definitely in his element at the bedside and made me feel very confident in him and comfortable before the surgery. He personally called my fiancé to update him after my operation and the staff checked on me several times with phone calls and texts. As for my results, I’m in the early stages and I’d say under how God created me I couldn’t ask for a better outcome. I am very satisfied with his work. I had a few bad days of pain but by day four no pain hardly at all . I’d say he is a great artist and surgeon and I am very thankful for him and his office staff being so amazing and kind!

I have been a patient of Dr. Groves for over a year. I have had several procedures and consultations with him. He has performed surgeries on me and I am so pleased with the results. Very recently he took a place out of my knee area that was squamous cell carcinoma. He was so precise that there is little visible scar which will fade in time. He is professional, kind, and considerate. His skills are unmatched by any doctor I've ever been to. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His staff is also awesome!

My experience at this office was amazing. The nurses was so nice and helpful. Very patient and respectful! As far as the doctor. Joshua R. Groves I would definitely recommend to anyone. He was very helpful, honest, respectful. He did not try to convince me to get anything else done nor did he try to rush me out of his office!
