Dr. Frank Yuan’s journey to becoming a plastic surgeon is rooted in a solid academic foundation. He graduated with a B.A. in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, where he earned Dean’s List honors. He furthered his education at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, then went on to complete a general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Yuan also completed an esteemed plastic surgery research fellowship at the University of Michigan, funded by the prestigious NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein F32 Grant. His research and publications in leading scientific journals helped lay the groundwork for his future as a highly regarded plastic surgeon.

He trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, gaining expertise in both adult and pediatric reconstructive procedures. Dr. Yuan also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity microsurgery at the University of Connecticut, one of the nation’s longest-standing fellowship programs.
