Profile

Dr. Tarakji’s interest in plastic surgery began in medical school when his aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. “Seeing something taken away from a woman and then watching their confidence restored again made me realize what a profound difference plastic surgery can make,” Tarakji said, “There is nothing I value more than my patients’ trust and together creating an individual plan to achieve the best surgical outcome.”

Dr. Tarakji provides a variety of surgical and nonsurgical treatments, both reconstructive and cosmetic. Being well trained in all aspects of plastic surgery, he is able to perform both common and complex reconstructive procedures in areas such as breast reconstruction after cancer, breast reductions, skin cancer reconstruction and wound care. In the cosmetic realm, he is adept at performing both minimally invasive injections as well as more involved face lifts, body contouring, and cosmetic breast surgery.

l'd give this surgeon less than one star if I could. I contacted the office because I was experiencing severe pain in my scar and clear signs that something was rapidly worsening. They insisted it was "just a keloid flare." By Day 2, I sent updated photos showing how quickly the swelling, pain, and inflammation were progressing. I explained repeatedly that this was far beyond normal hypertrophic scarring pain, but they dismissed my concerns and gave me the runaround instead of taking me seriously. I went to urgent care, but that doctor wouldn't drain the area he said the surgeon needed to handle it. By Day 3, it was obvious that this was exactly what | feared: an infection. After two visits to Piedmont Urgent Care, I was finally told it was an abscess. Yet the surgeon's office still refused to see me, claiming the issue "was not related to the surgery." Update 10/4: the abscess required surgery the very next day. After the procedure, the hospital wound surgeon told me that the abscess formed because a suture had been left inside my body for over two years. I wouldn't recommend this surgeon to my worst enemy. Their negligence caused a serious infection, unnecessary pain, and emergency surgery—all because they refused to listen.

I had a successful (ruptured) breast implant removal with Dr Ewart. It was amazing to only have to do local anesthesia for this and was barely uncomfortable for the ruptured side, and completely comfortable for the nonruptured side. He/Morgan got me in pretty quickly, which I am thankful for. The nurses, staff, and Dr Ewart were always kind and professional. I feel much better getting my ruptured implant out and I have not taken any pain meds even tylenol. Also, thank you to Delane for her kindness and attention to helping me!

Plastic surgery for young men and women. Not for seniors or the faint of heart. Ease of appointment and a greeting at the desk. Privacy for undressing....
