Dr. Dominick I. Golio specializes in facial plastic surgery, with excellent aesthetic results in upper and lower eyelid lifts, brow lifts, rhinoplasty, facelifts, and facial skin cancer removal. He has over 20 years of practice with licenses to perform aesthetic surgery in Florida, New York, and New Jersey, where he received the Patients' Choice Award in 2008 and 2009.
Dr. Golio's research interests include keloid management, advances in pediatric and adult maxillofacial trauma management, and reconstructive surgical oncology of the head and neck.
Dr. Golio has extensive experience in both ophthalmology and plastic surgery. He is recognized for his academic studies in the aesthetic field and has delivered presentations nationally and internationally in his specialties. He holds two patents in the United States in the field of trademarks and patents: Composition and Method for Treating Lipid-Encapsulated Virus Infections.
Dr. Golio was appointed Adjunct Professor of Surgery at St. George's University in April 2005 and Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and Ophthalmology at the Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York, from 2006 to 2010. During this period, he served as Acting Chief of Plastic Surgery in 2008 and was Director of Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery, as well as Chief of Oculoplastic Surgery Service.
