Onelio Garcia Jr., M.D., is a board-certified plastic surgeon who began a private practice in South Florida in 1985. He is considered a surgeon of distinction and has served the Florida plastic surgery community for the past 30 years. Dr Garcia’s surgical interests include facial rejuvenation surgery, body contouring procedures particularly VASER-Lipo, aesthetic breast surgery, and aesthetic contouring after massive weight loss.

Dr. Garcia went through extensive training in aesthetic plastic surgery under the tutelage of renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Bernard L. Kaye, a past president and founding member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. To date, Dr. Garcia has performed over 35,000 plastic surgical procedures and still remains highly passionate about his work. Dr. Garcia is very active academically, has received the “Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery” and is also the 2013 recipient of the prestigious “Tiffany Award” presented by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to the “best scientific presentation of the year.” He is also recipient of the 2018 “Best of the Best” award presented by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons at the annual meeting to the best scientific presentation. 

Dr. Garcia feels privileged because of that training and strives to bring to his patients the high level of surgical precision and attention to detail instilled in him during his residency. His guiding principle is to “exceed expectations” for every patient.

In addition to his other specialties, Dr. Garcia is considered a leading authority on the technique of ultrasonic liposuction utilizing the “Vaser.” He has conducted multiple clinical studies on fat metabolism and written extensively on the use of the Vaser.
