Dr. Akkary specializes in Cosmetic Surgery, including surgical face and body contouring and non-surgical procedures such as injectables (neuromodulators, fillers, PRP) and lasers. His innovative techniques eliminate the need for general anesthesia, thus reducing patient recovery time, virtually eliminating the risk of hospital-acquired infections, and decreasing patients' costs.
Dr. Akkary is Board Certified in Cosmetic Surgery by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida, Board Certified in Facial Cosmetic Surgery by the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Dr. Akkary is a Diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Cosmetic Surgery in the state of California as well as Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of General Surgery. Akkary Surgery Center is fully an accredited AAAHC facility and the practice is Patient Safety certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Akkary completed his General Surgery Residency training in Michigan and then completed two Fellowship training programs: Bariatrics & Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Yale University, New Haven, CT, and Cosmetic Surgery at Shumway Cosmetic Surgery Institute, San Diego, CA.
