Dr. Allison Laffoon is a Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon with specialized training in body procedures.  A graduate of Trinity School of Medicine, Dr. Laffoon has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing the field of medicine through her clinical excellence, leadership, and active involvement in professional organizations.

After completing her undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Iowa, Dr. Laffoon pursued her medical education at Trinity School of Medicine. She subsequently matched into the highly competitive General Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. To further specialize in cosmetic surgery, she completed a prestigious Facial & Body Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Nashville under the mentorship of Dr. Marvel, where she refined her surgical skills and patient care approach.

Dr. Laffoon’s dedication to her craft has earned her numerous accolades, including 1st place in the Intern Surgical Olympics and the title of Intern of the Year. Her commitment to professional growth is highlighted by her achievement of the “Most Improved ABSITE Score” among junior residents. She has also been honored with the Aust Society Travel Scholarship and the Gold Humanism Award for Teaching.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Laffoon is actively involved in leadership roles, including serving on various medical committees. As a former Trauma Administrative Chief Resident and a member of the General Surgery Residency Council, she has shown a dedication to improving patient care and surgical education. Dr. Laffoon’s communication skills extend to her role as the General Surgery Residency Social Media Representative, where she effectively engages with the medical community online. Dr. Laffoon is currently the head of our Fellowship program at Marvel Cosmetic Surgery.

Her scholarly contributions include publications on diverse medical topics such as postpartum bowel perforation, hand surgery training, Brazilian Buttocks Lift safety procedures, and rare disease cases in adults. She has also led research on the impact of COVID-19 on residency interviews and selection processes, as well as studies on vascular abnormalities and surgical oncology.

With her impressive background and unwavering commitment to patient care, Dr. Laffoon is a valued member of the Marvel Cosmetic Surgery team, where she continues to deliver outstanding results and inspire confidence in her patients.
