Trained as an artist before turning to medicine, Carey J. Nease, MD, is renowned for his unique abilities to create aesthetic results with his hands. Dr. Nease is certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. With 15 years of experience performing more than 10,000 surgical procedures, he consistently utilizes the most innovative techniques of laser technology, all with an unsurpassed commitment to excellence through surgical artistry.

Training & Education

With research published in numerous aesthetic surgical journals, Dr. Nease has contributed to several books on complete facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty, regularly provides lectures and presentations to peers across the country and trains fellow surgeons from around the world. Originally from Ocala, Florida, he attended college and medical school at the University of Florida from 1990-98.  He did his ENT residency in Oklahoma City and then went on to complete his Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dr. Nease has been an instructor of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS)-sponsored facial rejuvenation course and the New and Established Techniques in Breast and Body Contouring Workshop in St. Louis, MO. He is a highly respected teacher at AACS-sponsored workshops for 10 years, and he presided as Co-Chairman of the AACS fall symposium of cosmetic surgery in Hawaii in the fall of 2011.  He has been invited to lecture at the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery meeting in London, England in September of 2019.

Dr. Nease is a trustee of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the 2018 President of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS), and current Treasurer of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has been honored with the Best of the Best Cosmetic Surgeon Award for seven consecutive years in Chattanooga, TN and the North Georgia area.

Philosophy

Coming from a medical family, Dr. Nease understands the value his specialized approach lends to the artistry of his craft. He enjoys using his specialized creative skills to help people feel more confident about their appearance. His goals are to ensure patient safety, deliver complete patient satisfaction and produce outstanding, naturally beautiful results. He serves patients in Northern Alabama and regularly travels to New York Surgical Arts to provide his extensive expertise to patients in New York and Long Island.
