Hani Sbitany, MD, FACS is a board-certified Plastic Surgery practicing in Manhattan, New York. He specializes in Restorative Breast Surgery and Breast Reconstruction.

​Dr. Sbitany received his medical degree from Columbia University in 2005. He went on to complete residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.

​With his vast experience in Plastic Surgery, Dr. Sbitany has held clinical faculty appointments at some of the finest medical institutions in the United States. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Surgery and Associate Program Director, at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, from 2011-2019. Since May 2019, he has served as an Associate Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY.

​In addition to focusing on his clinical practice, Dr. Sbitany has helped define and describe many of the surgical techniques currently used for Breast Reconstruction. As a result, he has been appointed as an active member and leader in the following organizations:

American College of Surgeons

American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery

American Association of Plastic Surgeons

American Society of Plastic Surgery

​In addition, with his expertise in breast reconstruction, Dr. Sbitany serves as an invited advisory board member for numerous industry leaders in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also regularly asked to lecture and speak and national and international symposiums, by his colleagues.
