I'm beyond grateful to have had Dr. Matthew DelMauro as my plastic surgeon! I was recently assaulted by a stranger in NYC. EMTs transported me to the Lenox Hill Greenwich Village ER with complex nasal bone fractures & lacerations across my nose/check from a blunt glass object being thrown at my face. When the physician informed me that I needed immediate emergency surgery/stitches to stabilize and restore the function/appearance of my nose, I was a complete mess but after meeting Dr. DelMauro, I knew I was in good hands. He had great bedside manner and put me at ease by speaking with confidence, clarity, & empathy. He listened to all my concerns (the biggest of which was the fact that I'm getting married in 5 months and was afraid of having a permanent scar in the middle of my face). He walked me through my procedure/healing journey in detail and continually reassured me that everything was going to be okay. He even went the extra mile to call the hospital prior to my arrival and arrange a bed so I could have peace & privacy until the operating room was ready for me. Post op, he has been very responsive to my questions and attentive to my recovery. I cannot thank him enough for providing support during such a difficult time and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get elective or emergency plastic surgery.

I had been to other plastic surgeons with the problem that I thought I had with my implants, they all wanted me to change my breast implants ! but Dr. DelMauro found out the real problem that I have that I could fix with my posture and exercises and he did not try to sell me to do another procedure. He is a very professional plastic surgeon with a beautiful office and very friendly staff. Thanks again Dr. DelMauro. Oh I love his sense of humor! 🤗

I recently had an accident and went to the ER. I was told by the attending PA that my facial wounds required plastic surgery but there wasn’t a doctor on premise …they were going to handle my stitching. Needless to say, I was concerned. As a courtesy to me, the hospital called Dr. Del Mauro to consult and also sent him photos. To my surprise and relief, he actually came back to the ER to attend to me! (Let me add, it was a Friday night near the Christmas holidays). Dr. Del Mauro could not have been more caring - consultative and professional. He was direct, warm and confident . I intuitively felt I was in good hands. He explained the procedure thoroughly and handled it quite efficiently. Though I’m only a few weeks in, the results are most encouraging. When the doctor then offered his cell number I was truly blown away…. he said this was his common practice and has since responded quickly to both of my calls. I was impressed to get care like this in this day and age. I couldn’t recommend someone more highly.
