Dual Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Teresa O, MD, MArch, FACS, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of facial nerve disorders. She is Director of the Facial Nerve Center at Lenox Hill and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospitals. Inspired by the profound impact of facial paralysis on patients, Dr. O pursued advanced training in facial nerve reanimation at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. O began her academic journey at Cornell University, earning both a B.Arch and M.Arch before graduating from Boston University Medical School. She completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, followed by fellowship training with Dr. Milton Waner in vascular anomalies and further received specialized training by Dr. Tessa Hadlock and Dr. Cheney in Boston. Dual board-certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery, her architectural background provides a unique 3-D perspective in facial reconstruction.

Dr. O’s practice focuses on cosmetic facial plastic surgery and facial paralysis. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, textbook chapters, and coedited works on facial palsy and vascular anomalies. A dedicated educator, she mentors residents and fellows and is active in clinical research and international lecturing.
