Dr. Abdollah Malek believes the art of cosmetic surgery is in listening to his patients. He builds each treatment plan on a solid foundation of communication between doctor and patient and spends a considerable amount of time getting to know the people he treats — taking their goals into account and offering the best options to meet those goals. Dr. Malek finished his training in general surgery and became board certified as a general surgeon, and completed his training and became a board certified plastic surgeon thereafter. He subsequently completed a fellowship in head, neck, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas before returning to Wilmington in 1984.

Worst customer service. Won’t do what a patient ask (skin graft for a tattoo coverup) because they won’t be satisfied with their work. When I seen the results and we’re okay with the scars it would leave. but will use a non fda approved laser treatment that will leave burns and scars. The dumb husband and wife duo. Just by the way the wife looks I wouldn’t want to get plastic surgery there, looks like a burnt Barbie.

Not sure if I can really fault Dr. Malek or if it’s just the way my body responded, but I had a scar revision done and my scar is bigger and much bumpier, raised, and redder than before. I’m about 9 months out from the operation, and after thousands of dollars I’m now stuck with an uglier scar than before. Like I said, not sure if it’s because of my body’s response or something Dr. Malek did wrong but everything he tried to do afterwards (multiple shots of various things) also failed.

Dana at Dr. Malek's office is a miracle worker. After having two children and being a very irresponsible young adult in the sun, I had been suffering from rosacea, melasma, and overall horrible skin tone. She knew the exact ZO skincare regimen to put me on to get me back on track to perfect skin. Dana also recommended the IPL laser treatment. Now people compliment my skin all the time- something I never would have imagined, ever.
