My review for Dr. Joseph is long overdue. I had a unilateral upper blepharoplasty in May and it has seriously been one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. My right eyelid was heavier compared to my left and I was using Upneeq to try and make them as “symmetrical” as possible but I wanted something permanent. I hated profile pictures, my eyes looked so wonky. Dr. Joseph was the third Oculoplastic Surgeon I met with. The first doctor told me that if I had an upper bleph (this was for both eyes) that I would risk the possibility of not being able to close one eye. That’s scary. The second doctor said yes to both eyes but I just didn’t feel the most confident in him. The appointment was rushed and I was totally in my head from the previous doctor had said. When I met with Dr. Joseph he told me that I only needed to do one eye. He said my left eyelid was perfect so why mess with it? Still nervous about the procedure (it’s my face after all!) I booked the surgery with him. Even going into my procedure day, I was so nervous and I wanted to bolt. Jenny was really great at calming my nerves, but once Dr. Joseph came in to check on me before we started (I had taken the light sedation/relaxation medication) I felt totally at ease. There’s honestly something about him that just automatically calms you down. He’s warm and friendly. I knew I was in good hands. Surgery went totally fine- no issues whatsoever. I live about 2 hours south of Newport, so Jenny said I could email her some pictures of my eye, just to make sure everything was healing as it should. I sent her some photos the next day, and she said it looked perfect (even though it was so swollen haha). I had my follow up appointment one week after and Dr. Joseph was pleased with how my healing was going. My eyes looked SO symmetrical!! I couldn’t believe it! I had a final 6 week checkup and Dr. J told me I had “graduated”. I’m in my mid thirties and I don’t really know anyone who needs eyelid surgery, but if I do meet someone in the future who is interested, I will definitely recommend Dr. Joseph! He is a true artist in his field!! I know he is booking out but I’m telling you, book the consultation appointment and wait to meet him. If someone who is as anxious as I am can get this done, SO CAN YOU!!! Big shoutout to the girls who work in the office as well, they are all so sweet. He has a great team working with him. Thank you Dr. Joseph for changing my life and boosting my confidence!

I was very nervous about getting my first procedure done. I had my upper eyelids done and from the moment I walked into Dr. Joseph‘s office, my nerves calmed down .
