Rajendra R. Shah, M.D. has practiced in the Chicago area for most of his medical career. After receiving his M.D. in India, Dr. Shah completed his surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, IL before entering the plastic surgery residency program at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. After finishing his residency, Dr. Shah returned to the Chicago area where he opened his private practice and has been a member on staff at Christ Hospital since 1983.

Dr. Shah served as a clinical instructor at Ohio State University while in Columbus, OH, then as assistant professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL until 1994.

He is currently a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been involved in training plastic surgery residents for over 15 years. He routinely lectures at the University on various topics in cosmetic surgery. Teaching the new generation of plastic surgeons has been a rewarding experience for Dr. Shah.

Dr. Rajendra Shah is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons and Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons. He has served as President of the Chicago Society of Plastic Surgeons and is past President of the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons. He has made numerous professional presentations and authored several articles on plastic surgery.

Dr. Rajendra Shah has two sons and a daughter and resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife.
Dr. Shah is double board certified.

I'm extremely proud and happy to be writing my own review after reading through so many. I had an upper eyelift and a lower face and neck lift by Dr. Shah. I had other consultations elsewhere, and I'm so glad I chose A New You because that's exactly how I feel; I feel like a younger refreshed new me! I was skeptical about getting face surgery because I was scared, but the staff, nurses and doctor were all so genuine and helpful that I wasn't worried any longer. Dr. Shah is an excellent facial surgeon. I had surgery two weeks ago, and I feel and look so much younger and better about my appearance. I had minimal bruising and the expected swelling, but I was never in pain; I just felt uncomfortable for several days after surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Shah if you're considering any facial surgery. As a teacher who wanted a refreshing transformation; I give A New You an A+.

Dr. Shah performed my rhinoplasty and the experience was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Shah and his staff are very friendly and professional and make you feel comfortable at all times. Dr. Shah took my concerns very seriously when I said that I didn’t want too many changes done. I wanted a natural looking nose…just better. I am beyond happy with my results. I felt that after surgery, if I needed to call him, I could. He takes great care of his patients. I would highly recommend his practice. This is my third surgery with him and I think that speaks volumes.
