Dr. Asaad H. Samra, a native of New Jersey, received his Bachelors of Arts in Biology in 1997 from the highly prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He then returned to NJ where he obtained his medical degree in 2001 from the prominent UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Samra has a special interest in aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, as well as hand and post-traumatic reconstruction. He has also conducted research and has given many presentations on a variety of topics ranging from cosmetic (surgical & non-surgical) treatments to extensive reconstructive surgery.

Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2008, he has been chosen as a Top Doctor in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery by the Consumer Research Council of America for 2011 - 2016. Dr. Samra was the recipient of the Nurses' Choice Award Physician of the Year at Bayshore Medical Center in 2015 & 2016. Most recently, Dr. Samra was chosen as one of NJ Monthly's 2023 Top Doctors in breast reconstruction & facial trauma.
Furthermore, Dr. Samra has been the Medical Director for The Center for Wound Healing at Bayshore Medical Center since 2008, leading the team to receive several Center of Excellence Awards. He was appointed as Chief of Surgery of Bayshore Medical Center from 2015 - 2019, and most recently was elected as VP of Medical Staff. Dr. Samra also serves on the board of the Bayshore Foundation.

I got bitten by a dog, ended up in the ER late Friday night and Dr. Patel open the office for me on a Saturday just to stitch me up! Him and his assistant were amazing I was an absolute wreck they made feel so comfortable. Dr. Patel did an amazing job and he’s an amazing surgeon. I’m also getting married this year so I was nervous I wasn’t going to heal in time for my wedding but I’m healed and can’t even tell I was bitten by a dog!!

I had breast reduction, lift, and a full tummy tuck 2 weeks ago. I only have praise for Dr. Assad Samra, Who was thorough and amazing with his technique. The entire staff was also so caring and patient through the entire process. At 63 years old, I never thought I’d look as good as I do now. And it’s only gonna get better throughout the next few weeks. I highly recommend.

After having 3 c-sections in four years and gaining and losing weight for over 15 years you could only imagine what my stomach looked like . From the front office to surgical coordinator Susan I felt at home and at ease . I came to the office of Samra Plastic Surgery with the hopes of just getting some skin removed on my stomach. I met with Dr. Fares Samra. He made me feel so comfortable and went over my options. I ended up getting an extended tummy tuck. I can not express my gratitude to him and the staff . They have exceeded all my expectations and more. Dr. Fares Samra has given this 50 year old mother of 3 a whole new life with confidence. My only regret is that I did not have this done sooner. I went to see Dr. Fares Samra last year for a consultation for breast reconstruction following a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy. As soon as I met him, I felt so relaxed and at ease. He was very thorough and very patient with my questions and concerns. I just knew everything was going to be just fine and that I was in excellent hands. He is a highly skilled surgeon and a compassionate and wonderful person. I am almost one year out and feel amazing! I am really pleased with my results.
