Profile

Dr. Choi was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States for his higher education, now living in Irvine with his wife and two children.

Upon earning a B.A. in Molecular Cell Biology in U.C. Berkeley, he went on to attend medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he earned an M.D. with distinction in research, while receiving the “Best Student in Surgery” award for excellence and future promise in surgery. 

Dr. Choi then went on to complete his residency training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan, regarded widely as having one of the most comprehensive and prestigious training programs in the country. 

His training encompassed aesthetic, breast, hand, and craniofacial surgery.

I recently got jaw fillers with Dr. Choi to restore volume lost with aging, and I'm happy with my results. The procedure was quick, almost painless, and the results were instant. My jawline looks more defined and youthful without being overdone. I wanted a natural, subtle enhancement. I’ve received so many compliments on how fresh I look. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to restore a youthful appearance!

I have had a couple appointments getting Botox for the first time, Liz was my injector and she is AMAZING! She is the sweetest and so knowledgeable, makes you feel so comfortable and does an amazing job taking her time explaining everything and follows up to make sure you are happy with your results afterwards. AMAZING PERSONAL ATTENTION! I was looking into getting Botox and Lip Filler for the first time. A friend of mine recommended I go to JC Plastic Surgery and see LIZ. Let me tell you, my friend was not wrong. The clinic was very clean, the staff was very nice and LIZ was AMAZING. She took her time and listened to all my concerns. She went through the procedure and explained the different results with every product. She was very patient, did not rush me and made me feel extremely comfortable with my decision. She also followed up with me to make sure I was happy with my results and asked if I had any questions. 100% would recommend LIZ at JC Plastic Surgery!
