Dr. Ben Jacobs, originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, graduated from Haverford College in 1981. He obtained his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1985. After completing his residency in anesthesiology at Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Jacobs remained on staff as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology specializing in high risk anesthesia and ambulatory anesthesia. In 1991, Dr. Jacobs accepted the position as an attending anesthesiologist at Paoli Memorial Hospital. In 1993, he became Chief of Anesthesiology at Paoli Memorial Hospital. Dr. Jacobs was named Chairman of Anesthesiology for the Main Line Health System in 1997. Since 1994, Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Bilello have been co-directors of the anesthesiology department at the Paoli Surgery Center. Dr. Jacobs is currently a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, The International Research Society, the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia, and the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesia. He currently resides in Malvern with his family.

Had surgery there last week. Everyone was professional and timely. I had great care from the moment I walked in until I left. Julie was my nurse and she was phenomenal.

I have been there numerous times for low back injections with Dr Richards. He is great and does a great job. The staff at the front desk are so nice. The Nursing staff is awesome and the nurse anesthetist is wonderful. I feel very safe and cared for there. Thank you.

I recently had my bilateral salpingectomy done at Paoli Surgery Center and it was the best experience! The team there is incredibly kind and supportive and I received top-notch care. I appreciated the frequent communication leading up to and after my surgery and knew exactly what to expect before and after my procedure. The surgery center itself is comfortable and cozy, easily accessible with ample parking, and checking in was quick and efficient. The entire team - front desk, pre and post-op nurses, my doctor and anesthesiologist - were amazing and put me completely at ease. Highly recommend!!

I cannot speak highly enough of this surgery center and its staff. Everyone was incredible from the moment I walked in, to the time I left. The receptionists, nurses, doctors, etc — everyone was very kind, comforting, and informative. I was nervous initially, but they all set my mind at ease, and I would recommend this place to anyone.
