Dr. Alexander performed a life saving surgery on my 82 year old mother. He was super nice and explained everything to her to help ease her fears. The surgery was a success and she is recovering well. Thank you Dr. Alexander!

I was referred to Dr Alexander by my primary care physician. Set up an appointment the next day, and surgery to remove gallbladder within the week. Recovery was exactly as predicted, and incisions already looking great.

Dr. Alexander is a good man who is passionate about his craft! His bedside manner is informative and delivered with a big touch of compassion. He performed a Hernia surgery on me, and I'm healing very well. In this "mans" opinion, he is to be trusted !

Magdi and secretary Kayla form the one stop Mom and Pops hemorrhoid shop. I walked in and was diagnosed with grade 4 prolapsed hemmoroids. “I’ll see in you on the operating table this Thursday” he says and proceeds with the details in about 2 total minutes, and then on to the next patient. Think your being rushed? Well, with Kaiser there was endless red tape and having to be farmed off to west Los Angeles and a one month wait just for a measly consultation. And with Alexander you can pay out of pocket. It’s that easy and I believe I got a good bargain looking at typical rates for hemoradectomy procedures. But the first time around I instead dumbly opted for rubber band ligation. He said it was an option but it wouldn’t work and it’s expensive. “You’ll be back in my office in one year” he says. And guess what? It didn’t work and I was back in his office in 4 years. The recovery from the real surgery of hemoradectomy was absolute hell. I couldn’t go for 4 straight days, had to get an emergency catheter bag, and finally after I did go it was for 15 excruciating times in one day, pitching one inch at a time every hour, the absolute worst day of my life. Several comparably bad weeks would follow, slowly to taper off to normal life. But 9 months later here I am with no apparent signs of hemmoroids, external or internal whatsoever. Well, I’m not here to give you all cliches like I read on his wall as “Dr. Magdi Alexander is compassionate and cares about his patients”. Actually, he is a bit bossy and condescending but does that actually matter? I hope I never have to see this person again the rest of my live long life. But to Magdi and Kayla I assign an A grade, and a big fat F to Kaiser Permanente. Good luck trying to find a better option than this one.

He did a great job with the surgery and our after care has been phenomenal. The staff if extremely helpful and welcoming. Dr. Alexander is welcoming and address your concerns. We had an appointment 3 months out from our first one but due to some concern they were able to accommodate us and see us the same day that we called to try and get a sooner appointment. His staff goes above and beyond to ensure their patients get the help they need. 10/10 definitely recommend. - Eddy & Natalie H.
