Dr. Shaddix spent his childhood years between Texas and Georgia before completing his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia. From there, he graduated with honors in three majors in the biologic sciences while pursuing additional studies to refine his artistic capabilities. After being accepted to numerous medical schools, he elected to attend the Medical College of Georgia on a full academic scholarship where he discovered his passion for surgery. Dr. Shaddix then pursued his general surgery training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic where he excelled and eventually became Chief Resident of General Surgery. During his time at Mayo Clinic, he authored numerous publications and produced research that was presented at meetings across the United States and internationally, including the esteemed American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

After completion of his general surgery residency, Dr. Shaddix was fortunate to be chosen to complete his fellowship in plastic surgery at the prestigious Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. There he received some of the best and most innovative cosmetic training available in the country. He was mentored by pioneers in the fields of facial aesthetic surgery and body contouring as well as several members of the group of surgeons that actually invented the breast implant. He eventually became Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery. This rich experience supplied Dr. Shaddix with the skills necessary to fully address the cosmetic needs of his patients.

Dr. Shaddix is one of only a few double board-certified plastic surgeons in Pensacola. His substantial operative experience and world-class training have prepared him to offer the latest cutting-edge techniques in plastic surgery. He is conscientious and always places utmost emphasis on patient safety. He takes a great deal of time before surgery to listen and fully understand each patient’s goals and desires which allows him to develop an individualized surgical plan to produce life-changing results. Dr. Shaddix is as well known for his kindness and calm demeanor as his technical skill and aesthetic eye. His attention to detail and genuine concern for the happiness and well-being of his patients is unparalleled.
