Dr. Spalla has been in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area for more than a decade in both private practice and academics. He was integral in the growth of the Division of Otolaryngology at Cooper University and its creation of an otolaryngology residency.

Dr. Spalla has a strong background in teaching and was a curriculum developer for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. He continues to lecture nationally on topics in facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology. Additionally, Dr. Spalla has published more than a dozen papers, several book chapters, and co-authored a textbook on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery that is available on Amazon.

By leaving academics and creating his own practice, Dr. Spalla seeks to bring his signature background and stylistic touch back to Philadelphia. Dr. Spalla performs a broad range of both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures within facial plastic surgery. With regards to aesthetic procedures, Dr. Spalla performs such things as lifts (brow, face, neck, lip), blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, facial implants, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, Botox, and fillers. He carries this aesthetic touch to reconstructive procedures as well such as septoplasty, functional rhinoplasty, facial trauma, Mohs (skin cancer) repair, and scar revision.

Such an amazing experience. First off, the lobby/check in area is gorgeous and the folks working front desk reception are so kind , personable, and informative. Then once I met the doctor and her dental assist. Eloisa, I knew I was in good hands. They were professional and supportive during my oral surgery; we laughed and joked and they provided comfort while working with me during the appt to understand the procedure and post-op instructions diligently. Can not recommend this office or their staff ENOUGH!

I had my quarterly facial treatment with Michael, and it continues to be the best skincare experience ! His space is a calming atmosphere that sets the tone for relaxation. The facial itself was pure bliss. Michael's gentle touch and attention to detail made the entire experience incredibly soothing. He incorporated a variety of methods, including a deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation, and a luxurious mask that left my skin feeling rejuvenated and radiant. I particularly loved the facial massage; it was both relaxing and invigorating, and I could feel the tension melting away.

I’ll never go anywhere else! I’ve been seeing Michael since June to get my wedding skin glow on and I did his Face Reality acne boot camp program and it changed my life truly. He helped me get all my skin concerns under control with a very simple and affordable routine. I have continued to see him now since finishing that program monthly and I truly look forward to our treatments and the relaxing environment he creates! He’s extremely knowledge in his field & hilarious which is just the icing on the cake. He’s made my skin glow throughout my pregnancy as an adult acne sufferer. The desk girls are so sweet, kind, and welcoming and the spa is extremely clean! Go see Michael!

Michael has changed the way I view my acne and skincare. During our regular sessions, he answers all of my questions and teaches me the proper way to take care of my skin. He is definitely the master of his craft and very passionate about his field of work. He’s repaired my barrier while also improving my acne breakouts. He is friendly, encouraging, and flexible with scheduling. Michael makes him self available to you for any questions or concerns between appointments. I would most definitely recommend him for future treatments! I feel so luck to have found him.
