Dr. Prucz then completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University, which was the U.S. News & World Report #1 hospital in the United States during his training. An MD from Johns Hopkins has been named as one of the “five most prestigious degrees in the world” by International Business Times. Dr. Prucz was then selected for 1 of 3 Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery positions at the University of Washington, a nationally acclaimed institution for reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. During his training he served at the region’s only Level I trauma center, performed a wide variety of microsurgical procedures, and participated in over a dozen brachial plexus reconstructions. He was also a member of the region’s largest breast reconstruction and cancer teams and meticulously cared for children at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Finally, he learned the most innovative techniques for cosmetic surgery of the face and body from world renowned aesthetic surgeons including national leaders in breast, body, nasal, and facial surgery.

Throughout his career, Dr. Prucz has been a recognized leader and educator. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which is the ONLY recognized accreditation Board for Plastic Surgery. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, author of dozens of internationally peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, an expert medical witness, and an invited speaker at national meetings. Dr. Prucz has also been elected to serve as President or Vice-President of professional organizations throughout his career, continues to serve on several hospital committees, and is a clinical educator for local surgical programs. 

Dr. Prucz lives with his wife and two young sons in the Greater Phoenix area. In his spare time he enjoys food festivals (the Renaissance Fair is a favorite), building magnetic towers with his boys, planning family vacations, or watching “The Office” re-runs. You can also often find him re-reading instruction manuals, adding more tech devices to his home, and taking apart toys to see how they work.
