I originally left two five-star reviews after my experience at McGuiness Dermatology Plano. The first review, following my biopsy by Dr. McGuiness, deserved five stars. I waited two weeks to receive my diagnosis and a confirmation that it needed to be excised. My procedure, done by PA Katie, went smoothly, and I was told to return in two weeks to have my stitches removed. My stitches were removed by a nurse, who told me the site was infected. She took a pic to show PA Katie who did call in an antibiotic and an ointment for me to apply. I was told, for the next two weeks, to text pics of the site. A month after my infection was seen, they made another appt for me to return. It is finally healing. Every pic/message took 3-4 days for a response, and I'm still waiting, 5 days later, for an answer to my final message. This six-week experience was not a positive one after all. I should have waited to give my second review.

I had such a great experience at McGuiness Dermatology in Plano. Jennifer Snipes Hall, was incredibly kind and made the whole visit easy and comfortable. She has such a warm, friendly energy that really put me at ease. Her assistant was also super helpful and welcoming. I left feeling really taken care of, and I’m honestly looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at the Plano location. I had Halo on my face neck and chest done by Carrie. She goes above and beyond with her post care and getting you through the scary swelling etc. I had the nitrous oxide. I also took some extra strength Tylenol and put on the numbing cream at home before. I got through the treatment easily with this combo. I would definitly recommend it because this type of treatment can be painful and the nitrous is worth the extra money. I had some injections done by Linda. She has plenty of experience and knows what she is doing. I have had some bad experiences at other places in the past. I am pleased with my results here. The only thing that could use improvment is that they could use another laser tech. It takes longer to get in for your treatment than I would like. I am a very busy person with a full calendar. So, I would have liked to have more choices for appointment times. It would also be nice if there were multidisciplinary consults and their providers worked more as a team. All in all positive. I'll be back.

Dr. Newton was the best! I saw him as a new patient and he was very thorough and asked questions I didn’t think to ask. All the staff were great as well. I had to bring my 5 month old daughter and all the ladies were so sweet and held her for me so I could have a thorough exam. The office is really nice and easy to find. Highly recommend!

Overall an excellent experience. Dr. McGuiness saw me as a new-to-his practice dermatology patient. He was very thorough with the exam. He actively listened and communicated with me throughout the examination. The staff was great too. The location is conveniently located and the office is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The iPad first-time-patient check-in was was most convenient. I highly recommend McGuiness Dermatology Plano.
