I had an unexpected facial injury that required stitches, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been treated by Dr. Gilson. From the moment I stepped into his care, I knew I was in expert hands. Dr. Gilson was not only highly professional but also genuinely kind, caring, and attentive. He took extra care to ensure my scarring would be as minimal as possible, and the precision in his stitching was phenomenal—far beyond what you'd expect from the average doctor. His expertise was immediately evident. What stood out just as much as his skill was his bedside manner. He made me feel completely at ease during the procedure and continued to check in and offer support afterwards. He shared so much helpful information about how to care for my stitches and the healing process, which really gave me confidence and peace of mind. I also want to highlight how wonderful the front office coordinator, Anna, was throughout the entire experience. She was incredibly receptive to the urgency of my situation and went to great lengths to accommodate me quickly. Her warmth and efficiency made a stressful situation so much easier to manage. Between Dr. Gilson’s exceptional surgical skills and comforting personality, and Anna’s top-tier support and responsiveness, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m deeply grateful and would recommend Dr. Gilson and his team without hesitation.

I’ve primarily seen Rachel Duncan for most of my treatments and it’s clear she’s an expert in her field. She always listens to what I want, tells me my options and realistic expectations to follow, and is fun to talk to during the appointments. It’s important to me to not look like I’ve had anything done, just look refreshed and a few years knocked off and Rachel always hits that’s spot on. Everyone at Skin By Lovely is always welcoming and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Selah was also super helpful in helping me find my new favorite moisturizer and sunscreen.

My experience with Dr Gilson was top notch! He is a very compassionate and knowledgeable plastic surgeon who made me feel comfortable every step of the way during my Botox appointment. He answered any questions or concerns I had prior to my treatment, making me feel at ease. The convenience of the location in Portland was a bonus. I will definitely be coming back to see him!

I recently had my breast reduction done with Dr Gilson about 8 weeks ago. I am blown away by how different I feel already . I went to Dr. Gilson’s office extremely nervous , I was trying to get my breast reduction covered by insurance. EVERYONE in the office was extremely kind, attentive, and helped me get what I need. I cannot rave enough about Dr Gilson, he has a calming presence and explains every single step. He made my husband and I feel so comfortable. My recovery went super smooth. I have zero regrets.

Dr. Gilson performed a scar excision on my ears and did a phenomenal job! I had been so self-conscious about the keloids on my ears for over a decade! He got me in for a consult and surgery in just a matter of weeks! Dr. Gilson is well informed and communicated with me through everything he was doing as he was doing the procedure. I'm genuinely impressed with Dr. Gilson's caring, individualized approach to each of his patients. He never makes you feel like you are "just an appointment". Dr. Gilson is very kind and welcoming as is the entire staff! I would recommend Dr. Gilson a thousand times over! You cant go wrong!
