Dr Hoffman was excellent. He took time and was very thorough as was the other medical staff. However, the clerical staff left something to be desired. My...

They do not answer their phones or return calls...even after surgery in their office. Very disappointed.

I came to Dr Riske after having 5 Moes cuts on my lower eyelid from skin cancer. It was a huge hole! I really didn’t think he could fix it to look close “normal”. He did! You can’t even tell between my eyes which had the surgery! I am amazed looking at the pics after last Moes, then in the mirror! Thank you Dr. Riske!

Amazing surgeon with magic hands and precision. I am in shock to see anything other than 5 star from others. His bedside manner is quite friendly and patient. He gets to the point when necessary and I prefer things to not be sugarcoated or patronizing. I had 2 successful surgeries done to remove basal spot on lower lid and a suspected area. NO scars. I am truly blessed to have been referred to Dr. Riske by my Opthamologist and Dermatogist. Hope I do not have to see him again for more spots but know I wil return to Dr. Riske no matter where I move.

My daughter had a chalizion and has been treated by a doctor at raleigh opthalmology. After a month of medicines and warm compresses she has seen no improvement. she was refereed to Dr Paul Riske in the same office as he is an expert in treating and surgically removing chalazia. We've taken an appointment and went to see him. The nurse took all the details from my daughter and before even the consultation with Dr Riske, she had her sign a surgical waver form. Dr Riske came in, looked at my daughters eyelid and said we have to surgically remove it and completed the procedure in a hurry. she was not given any other options. After a week to 10 days the chalazion still didnt improve and she went back to see Dr Riske again. she was made to sign the waiver again, Dr Riske came in and said we will have to perform the surgery again and did it immediately. It been over two months and she has lost growth of her eyelashes near the surgical area and has a scar on her eyelid. At her next appointment Dr Riske said this is unusual and he didnt know whether she will grow her eye lashes back but the scarring will heal after sometime. We took an appointment with Dr Mettu to seek a second opinion. He reviewed her eyelid and took pictures and explained that the incision was made too close her eyelash follicles and she would not grow back her eyelashes but her scarring will heal. We requested a call back from Dr Riske after we consulted with Dr Mettu. Dr Riske called back a day later and spoke to my wife and she explained what Dr Mettu has seen and sent him the pictures. He was to call us back after he reviewed the pictures and we still haven't heard from him for almost a week nor did my daughter. we would not recommend Dr Riske and if you currently have an appointment to see him please do not sign any surgery waiver forms before consulting with the doctor and considering your options. You would be better off with another opthalmologist in the area.

I went to Dr. Paul Riske on the recommendation of a friend because my hooded eyes were so heavy and I wanted to get the hooded skin removed. Found out I had ptosis in both eyelids and didn't know! Thank you to Dr. Riske for the diagnosis, testing and surgery. I went today for my 8 week post-op follow-up and my eyes look great following ptosis surgery and having the extra skin removed. No issues, recovery went well and it seems my distance vision has improved! Dr. Riske was very professional and I would recommend him.

Dr Riske was recommended to me by my optometrist, Dr Marcia Dettloff. She herself is a very professional, exacting, physician. After over 6 years as her patient, I trust her medical advice totally.. In the initial consultation, Dr Riske was intent on hearing my history, which involves paralysis of the left side of my face due to a complicated case of Bell’s Palsy over 30 years ago. He discussed what he could do surgically to improve the ptosis, and what I could expect as a result. I am very satisfied with my results. My vision has improved due to my eyelid no longer drooping, and a better symmetry has been restored to my face. My other eyelid also exhibits ptosis, and I will return to him for that surgery.
