Profile

My love for both art and science began in my adolescence growing up in New Jersey. It was during those formidable decision-making years in high school that I decided on a career in architecture. What better way to take my love of art, math, and physics and use it to create beautiful things! Discouraged from that decision by my high school guidance counselor, I went on to pursue my undergraduate degrees in engineering and molecular biology at M.I.T. in Cambridge, MA. It was during my four years in Cambridge that I felt the need to be surrounded by and care for other people in my vocation (rather than spending my time alone in a laboratory), so from Cambridge I went on to medical school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia to pursue a career in medicine. There I met some of the strongest influences in my life, and from observing and working with a number of master surgeons in the Department of Plastic Surgery at UPenn, I decided then and there that plastic surgery was my calling.

From Philadelphia it was on to the Bronx, NY, where I first completed a residency in general surgery followed by a second residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following completion of my surgical training, I received board certification by The American Board of Surgery, Inc. and The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. During my undergraduate medical education and subsequent surgical training, I was especially enthralled with the ability to skillfully correct birth anomalies such as cleft lip and cleft palate and being able to restore a child to a normal lifestyle who in years past might have been doomed to a life of pain and ridicule. This enchantment with healing carries over into all aspects of my current practice, including both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures in children and adults.

Booking was easy and relatively quick. The receptionist was friendly and informative. The practice is very clean and welcoming. The practice is LGBTQ+ friendly. They are following covid procedures. I did wait a little bit to meet with the surgeon and nurse because they were behind on consults but they were gracious about it and apologized for the wait. The nurse and Dr. Taylor answered all my questions thoroughly and were very informative about the procedure and aftercare. Having seen others results so far, I would recommend Dr. Taylor and Allure to anyone

You will be surrounded by caring experts in a very safe calm environment. Dr. Taylor goes above and beyond to give you what you hope for. Everyone is super kind and considerate. Every part of the process from appointment making, dealing with insurance, even waiting to be seen is the most professional situation you can imagine.

A former patient of Dr. Taylor recommended him to me. I did the research for multiple cosmetic surgery procedures from well-known surgeons across much of the northern U.S., as well as Asia. Since I travel back and forth between the U.S. and Asia, it was convenient for me to go in either countries. Initially, I decided to pay Dr. Taylor a visit, but I was pleasantly surprised with his excellent credentials, as well as his attention and focus to detail. Although I would happily shrug off a standoffish staff for a very capable surgeon, Dr. Taylor's office, nurses, and staff are warm, cheery, and attentive in every way. Friends and relatives have suggested I try surgeons in Thailand, but I'm happy I chose to stay with Dr. Taylor's expertise and services. It took me 30 years to come to a decision on getting the surgeries, and there is never an ounce of doubt that I made the right choice - with great results- leaving it in Dr. Taylor's very capable hands. I feel Dr. Taylor genuinely cares about the quality of his work and the final results.

I was found to have breast cancer about 9 months ago and decided to have DIEP flap surgery. I was recommended to Dr. Taylor by my breast surgeon who spoke exceptionally highly of his abilities. I had both breasts done and the surgery was a success! Not only do I have two new breasts that look better than my original, but I am regaining feeling as well. Dr. Taylor is a gifted surgeon and an intelligent and gentle man. He always spends as much time with you as you need, explaining everything in exceptional detail. He also gets to know you as a person. It is amazing to find such a combination of talents in one person. But, that isn't all ... he has created a staff of talented and caring individuals to help him in his office and during his surgeries. He created a trained nursing support system at the hospital to monitor the health of the FLAPS during your recovery and both his surgical assistant and his head nurse gave me their cell phone numbers and answered every call I made throughout the entire recovery process. Everyone in his office is friendly, kind and knowledgeable. They call you by name and you never have to wait for your appointment. Whether you are dealing with the traumatic effects of breast cancer or you desire cosmetic surgery, you could not find a better doctor.
