Profile

Dr. Donn R. Chatham is a facial plastic surgeon and has offices in Louisville, Kentucky and New Albany, Indiana, just minutes away over the Ohio River. A native of Kentucky, Dr. Chatham received his undergraduate education from Georgetown College, graduating cum laude in 1971 with a major in psychology and minors in art and biology.

His initial medical training was at the University of Louisville School of Medicine graduating in 1978. After an internship and year of general surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN, he entered into a residency in otolaryngology-head & neck surgery at the University of Tennessee, completing this in 1983.

He began a fellowship in facial plastic surgery with Dr Gaylon McCollough, and through the American Academy of Facial Plastic &Reconstructive Surgery, completing this in 1985. Dr Chatham later was elected president of the AAFPRS and served as president in 2008-09.

Dr. Chatham then returned to his home in Kentucky in 1985, beginning private practice with offices in Louisville and southern Indiana.

I’m in my mid 60s and I’ve been a client of Dr. Chatham’s for about three years. I highly recommend him and his professional staff. Over this period of time, I’ve received Botox, fillers around my mouth and brows, and an eyelid lift. I’ve also received a peel under my eyes to remove small lines and to add ‘lift’ to this area. On my visits I also try to arrange for a facial by the esthetician. The staff has always been very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Chatham takes time to discuss what procedures I may want and thoroughly reviews the process and outcome. I’ve had very minimal bruising, if any, even with the eyelid lift. I trust and highly recommend Dr. Chatham. It takes two hours travel time for my visits, but the results are well worth it.

Dr. Chatham is a great listener, very thoughtful, has a hands on approach to Natural Beauty and honest to you about what to expect! He is careful and precise! He wants you to look your best without over enhancing your face. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to Dr. Chatham for any of your facial desires!

My closest friend invited me to join her for an appointments so I could meet Dr. Chatham. Not only is he such a kind person, I have found him to be an excellent physician. He airs on the more "conservative" approach to facial skin care. We have experimented with several different procedures. Right now, I don't want any drastic changes to my face, and he's keeping me on a maintenance path I highly recommend him to my close friends and to anyone else reading this message.

Dr. Chatham and his staff were helpful and informative during the consultation. They educated me on several options, and didn’t try to “sell” me the most expensive procedure. Dr. Chatham spent time with me before and during the procedure to insure I was pleased with the results. I would highly recommend him.

very comforting doctor; he spent as much time with me as I needed to answer my questions and he reassured me. I felt as though he was very honest and had my best interest at heart. Dr. Chatham did not rush and I felt like I was the most important person in the office at that time. I received very good information about what to expect from the anticipated surgery. After my procedure, Dr. Chatham called and checked on me and was very considerate. He has a very nice attitude and took time to explain everything. I would highly recommend him. You should call the office and make an appointment for a consultation if you are considering any type of cosmetic or reconstructive surgery of your face and I think you will be pleased. Doctors like Dr. Chatham are hard to find.
